Fellows are employees of UW Health—not the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health or the Department of Neurology. Therefore, whereas the Department of Neurology educates and supervises fellows, salary and benefit schedules are maintained by UW Health.
The University of Wisconsin Department of Neurology also provides fellow support independent of the UW Health as follows.
