- ~ One per month at a faculty member’s house (PG3 year with adult neurology residents)
- ~ One per year during PG4 and PG5 years with pediatric neurology faculty (one per resident per year)
Description
Journal club is an informal gathering of residents and faculty. One resident and a faculty sponsor select an important paper from the literature, or a few related papers. The resident discusses the importance of the topic, the research design, findings, etc. Faculty help guide the discussion.
Goals
- To develop residents’ skills in evidence-based medicine
- To promote a collegial working relationship among residents and faculty
