Program Description

Neuropsychology is housed within the Department of Neurology, and as such fellows have opportunities to train with neurology residents and learn from interactions with neurologists.

This fellowship focuses on clinical experiences and about 10% of time is devoted to didactics. There is a minimum of two hours of supervision per week. Consistent with Houston Conference Guidelines, the fellows are expected to complete some scholarly activity (e.g., publication submission, presentations, grant proposal, or outcome assessment). There are numerous opportunities for research, especially related to epilepsy and TBI, as well as data collection for a variety of studies. Fellows also assist with triaging referrals to increase exposure to the interworking of the clinic and increase knowledge of insurance as it relates to neuropsychology.
