Quick read: Dr. Su-Chun Zhang is building a company that will turn research into treatments for patients with disorders like Parkinson's disease and spinal cord injury.

Why it matters: Zhang credits D2P (Discovery to Product), a joint initiative of the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) and UW-Madison for helping his startup get off the ground. Zhang's company, Brainxell, will focus on producing the neurological tools that support future therapeutics.
