Medical Interests

Cassie Meffert is an advanced practice provider in the Department of Neurology who works closely with her physician counterparts to see and evaluate patients. Her clinical interests include general pediatric neurology, with a focus on pediatric headache and migraine, post-concussive headache, tic disorders, neuro-oncology and syncope. Cassie is the primary neurology provider in the Pediatric Headache and Pediatric Brain Care Clinic, and performs numerous therapeutic procedures for headache management including Botox injections, trigger point injections, occipital nerve blocks, and cefaly device management. Cassie’s goals for patient care center around improving their quality of life and limiting the effects that neurological disorders have on their daily lives.

Teaching Interests:

Cassie has lectured at the University of Wisconsin Physician Assistant Program, the University of Wisconsin College of Nursing, and the University of Wisconsin Pediatric Residency Program. She has also assisted in precepting PA and NP students, and has had numerous students shadow in her clinic. She welcomes future lecturing opportunities as well as students who are interested in shadowing or for preceptorship.
